When is Garden in the Park?
Saturday, May 6, 2017| 8am to 3pm
What is the entrance fee?
There is no admission fee into Garden in the Park. Food is accepted for the Food Bank of East Alabama
What is there to do at Garden in the Park?
Garden in the Park features art vendors will all handmade or homegrown items. There will also be delicious food, entertainment on stage, children activities and a petting zoo. Event coordinators request all personal pets be left at home.
What if it rains?
Garden in the Park is a rain or shine event
Where is parking?
Attendees may park in the Denson Drive Rec Center parking lot, Northside Intermediate School or Miles Thomas Field
How are funds used from Garden in the Park?
With the money raised from Garden in the Park, Keep Opelika Beautiful purchased containers for curbside recycling in Opelika. In the past, funds have been used for green space enhancements at Opelika City Schools, renovations to a caboose, landscape for a vacant lot and decorative trashcans for downtown Opelika.
How do I become a vendor?
Download the applicaiton and mail with fee to Keep Opelika Beautiful
What size are the booths?
All booths are 12'x12'
What items have been sold in the past?
Plants, furniture, paintings, bird houses, trees, jewelry and children clothing
Is electricity provided?
Electricity is provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.
What is provided with the booth?
Vendors are responsible for bringing all items (tent, chairs, table, display) for the booth
How many people typically attend Garden in the Park?
Over 4,000 people attended the event in 2016.
